This series of cupro nickel Ten Centimes were minted during the Third Republic and they were struck from 1917 until 1938. Varieties exist based on small and large holes in the centre of the coin. The coin was designed by Edmond-Emile Lindauer. The design used for this type of Ten Centimes was used before in 1914 and was struck using a nickel planchet. The mintage was low and these are sought after so have a high value.
