Item No. 8" was twenty-four "Wagon loads of flowers" for "Sc No 1". The set is given as "montage", and the "Shoot Date" is given as 15th December 2003.

Series 13 - Creaky Cranky, The Lion of Sodor, Slippy Sodor ( cameo), The Early Bird, Percy's Parcel ( cameo), Thomas and the Runaway Kite ( cameo), The Biggest Present of All ( cameo) and Buzzy Bees ( cameo) The line "He's fallen in the water!" is a quote often used in the radio comedy The Goon Show, of which David Mitton was a fan. Described as a gentle giant by the Thomas and Friends Writers' Bible, Murdoch is a good listener and a peacemaker. He dislikes conflicts between other engines and will assert himself to resolve disputes. While he may be reserved and independent, he readily joins in to offer advice and assistance when he deems it necessary. Technical Details: Basis and Livery Series 17 - Kevin's Cranky Friend, Steamie Stafford ( cameo), Henry's Hero ( cameo), Not Now, Charlie!, Too Many Fire Engines ( cameo), Santa's Little Engine, Away From the Sea, Gone Fishing ( does not speak), The Afternoon Tea Express ( cameo), The Smelly Kipper and No More Mr. Nice Engine ( cameo) When Trevor trundles across the runway, his driver is steering him whilst sitting in his coal bunker, which is empty.Fergus knows the rulebook by heart, and his fussy catchphrase is "Do it right!" His insistence on doing everything absolutely according to the rules can annoy the other engines, but he is a decent engine at heart and will not hesitate to help others in trouble. He is also friendly to nearly everyone he meets. According to an interview with Robert Gauld-Galliers, Cranky is based on photographic references of various cranes from the 1920s to the 1950s. [3]

In the UK, this episode aired before Peace and Quiet and Gordon and Spencer, so the British audience would not know who Murdoch and Spencer were. One windy autumn day, a large red carpet landed on a goods wagon from Murdoch's goods train, unbeknownst to Murdoch. Percy had briefly chased after it, until the heavy winds blew it away yet again. [4] Series 19 - Who's Geoffrey?, The Truth About Toby ( cameo), A Cranky Christmas, Toad and the Whale, Salty All at Sea, The Little Engine Who Raced Ahead ( cameo), Diesel's Ghostly Christmas, The Other Side of the Mountain ( cameo) and No Help at All In some descriptions of Thomas and the New Engine, Neville is mistakenly described as actually being a diesel, as opposed to just looking like one. The first time Thomas' scared face appeared in an episode since the second series episode, Thomas Comes to Breakfast, and the first time it appeared after Thomas and the Magic Railroad. It is a very windy autumn day and preparations are underway for a flower show's opening at Maithwaite. The Fat Controller announces that a special must be taken there before Allicia Botti opens the show. He chooses Percy to take it, much to the annoyance of Gordon and James. The final appearance of the Sodor Airport, though it was later mentioned in the twenty-fourth series double length episode, World of Tomorrow. As a BR Standard Class 9F locomotive, Murdoch epitomizes strength and reliability. His ten drive wheels and robust design make him a vital asset in hauling heavy goods trains across the Main Line. Moreover, his orange livery with green and red lining, coupled with his distinctive smoke deflectors, makes him a memorable and beloved figure on the Island of Sodor. When Thomas is pushing the fish vans, the brake van has a light. But when Arthur takes the vans, the light is gone. A Bad Day for Sir Handel - An extended faded beginning of Rheneas pulling coaches past Hawin Doorey Castle.

The last episode with the original cast for the Japanese dub, and the last produced with the Aoni Production staff. In a SiF interview with Chris Lloyd, it was mentioned that Fergus' model was damaged during the filming of Bill, Ben and Fergus. His model still worked, but the flywheel could not turn anymore. This may explain why he never appeared after the seventh series. Despite the episode being set in the Autumn season, the leaves on the trees are green, but when they fall, they are orange and red. Additionally, her Take Along tender has six wheels but her Take-n-Play tender has only four wheels. In Australia, this episode was released early on VHS and DVD before the seventh series aired on television so the Australian audience would not know who Arthur was, never mind Emily and Murdoch appearing as cameos. This episode has similarities to the fifth series episode, Something in the Air and the eighth series episode, Emily's Adventure. Stopping at a signal, Percy sees Gordon, who is not surprised that Percy was told to collect a carpet, as he is just a small engine. Suddenly, the wind lifts up underneath the carpet, taking it into the air. Percy is now convinced that it is a magic carpet, but Gordon knows that it is just the wind and he departs to collect a coach for Allicia Botti. Then Murdoch passes Percy and the red carpet lands onto a flatbed in Murdoch's train. Percy gives chase to Murdoch, calling for him to wait. But Murdoch is too far ahead to hear Percy and carries on through Maron station. Percy, speeding through Maron, tells James that Murdoch has his magic carpet, but James tells him that magic carpets do not exist. Emily gets into an accident and occurs with muddy water; the first was the eighth series episode, Emily's New Route. In Japan, this episode aired before Gordon and Spencer meaning the Japanese audience may not who Spencer was. In the scene at Knapford Sheds, Arthur's left eyebrow is smudged and Murdoch's left eyebrow has a scratch on it.
